Are Our Rights for Everyone?

What a great historical document! However, not everyone is protected under this article. The court decision of Roe vs. Wade has given the mother the right to choose whose rights are valid and whose are not, all under the guise of women’s productive rights. The unborn cannot claim the same rights as everyone else. They have no voice.

In 1999, Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) said to Senator Barbara Boxer: Suppose during this procedure (abortion) the baby slips entirely from the mother’s birth canal. “You agree, once a child is born, is separated from the mother, that that child is protected by the Constitution and cannot be killed? Do you agree with that?” Boxer: “I think when you bring your baby home, when your baby is born … the baby belongs to your family and has all the rights.” Since Roe vs. Wade back in 1973, over 58,586,256 abortions have been performed.  Those lives have been snuffed out as one would snuff out a candle, and an overwhelming majority are by “choice.”

We want everything on our own terms, that is if it is convenient at the time. A baby doesn’t get to choose its mother, so why does a mother get to choose her baby, or decide whether it is one? It boils down to this: If you are pregnant and you “want” a child you call it a baby if you don’t you call it a fetus. And yes, there are exceptions to the rule, when a mother’s life is in danger.  What about a woman who has been raped and becomes pregnant? Would you sentence an innocent child to death? There are parents waiting in line to adopt a child.

A woman’s body is was created by God to be a safe and secure environment for her baby to grow to full term maturity. The baby relies on its mother for everything, even her “choices.”  There is an unbreakable bond between mother and child, an instinct to nurture, guard, protect, and fight even to the death if necessary to protect her offspring. Unfortunately, for some, this is no longer the case.  Even the animal kingdom will at least put up a fight. Our laws protect even the great Bald Eagle, the symbol of our country, and its eggs and the embryo inside.  It is illegal to destroy an eagle’s egg. Fines are as high as $5,000 and imprisonment up to 3 years. Many may argue that a fetus is not a human life, as many argue that an eagle’s egg is not an eagle. If that is true, then why make a law to protect one and not the other? Liberals may also argue that an eagle is an endangered species and therefore MUST be protected. A Conservative can counter with the argument that a human life is a unique (endangered?) individual.

Abortion is not a right, it’s a wrong! All lives matter and that includes the unborn.
